The guardhouse was set in a new context to its immediate surroundings by reversing its original surveillance function. By arranging curtains in several layers, a situation was created in which its interior is largely hidden from views from the outside. At the same time, however, by illuminating it from the inside, it becomes a highly visible sign, like a lighthouse in public space, and thus sets itself in scene in the context of the museum.
